I actually think that using computers to administer tests in schools could be a great idea. At the very least, it seems that computerized testing could mean far less marking for teachers, and more immediate feedback for students, so it seems like both parties should benefit.
But as Sarah Garland points out in The Hechinger Report below, there are many potential pitfalls of online testing. Many have accused online learning of offering a sterile and less collaborative learning environment, but in my experience with online courses, I have found it to be just the opposite.
